This study examined how employees’ perceptions of support from both co-workers and supervisors influence Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) among bank employees in Ado-Ekiti. The research aim at investigating whether or not perceived co-workers' and supervisors' work-life support will influence organizational citizenship behaviour among bank workers, find out whether there are sex differences in the organizational citizenship behaviour among bank workers, and to determine if job tenure will significantly affect organizational citizenship behaviour among bank workers in Ado-Ekiti. Expost-facto research design was adopted, and the Taro Yamane sampling technique was used, a total of 151 bank workers (96 males and 55 females) participated in the study. Data were collected using a composite questionnaire comprising three validated scales: the Perceived Co-workers' Support Scale, The Perceived Supervisor Support Scale, and the Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale. Three hypotheses were tested using 2×2 ANOVA, Independent samples t-test, and One-Way ANOVA. Results revealed that perceived supervisor work-life support (PSWLS) significantly predicted both individual OCB [F(1, 143) = 18.77, p < .001] and organizational OCB [F(1, 143) = 18.98, p < .001]. However, gender differences in organizational citizenship behavior were not statistically significant [t(149) = .59, p = .59], indicating that male and female employees demonstrated comparable levels of OCB. Similarly, job tenure had no significant effect on OCB directed toward individuals [F(3, 147) = .41, p = .75], the organization [F(3, 147) = .99, p = .40], or in general [F(3, 147) = .58, p = .63]. These findings highlight the critical role of supervisory support in promoting citizenship behavior within the workplace. It is recommended among others that banking institutions adopt proactive strategies to strengthen job security and foster a more supportive work environment for their employees. In conclusion, the perception of supervisory support plays a pivotal role in shaping employees organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB), whether directed towards individual, colleagues or the organization as a whole.
